This page is to gather a list, and use as a resource, a partial body of past Cornell/Ithaca PAR projects, and also to gather a list of PAR faculty. By listing past Thesis & Dissertation titles along with accompanying committee members these works can serve as references (that PAR can and has been done at Cornell!) and potential advisory resources for mentorship.

Welcome

The Cornell Participatory Action Research Network (cPARN) was founded in 1992 and continues to foster robust discussion on action research at Cornell and beyond. A brief history of the network can be found here.

Please sign up for our listserve to participate in the ongoing dialogue.

The goals of the network are to :

- Provide a convenient and supportive way for students from many academic disciplines to locate PAR resources (classes, faculty, students) and pursue action research;

- Establish support for students wishing to incorporate PAR into their existing/planned research by providing a student forum to discuss and evaluate research and a network of committed faculty members to advise on PAR techniques and execution;

- Support an alternative and underrepresented research methodology;

- Create an archive/collective history of PAR at Cornell;

- Foster a supportive and challenging network of faculty and students who are committed to PAR.
